IAS訪問：マイクロオメガ装置を使用した共同研究 - Visiting to IAS: collaborative research using the MicrOmega instrument - | 宇宙科学研究所 - JAXA 宇宙科学研究所

フランス国立宇宙研究センター（CNES）とJAXAは今年、赤外分光顕微鏡（MicrOmega）の貸与期間を延長することで合意しており、この顕微鏡を用いてはやぶさ2のリターンサンプルの共同研究を引き続き、行っています。臼井教授、岡田教授、岡田教授が指導する学生1人、および ASRGから3 人のキュレーターが、10 月 25 日から 11 月 1 日までフランスの Institut d'Astrophysique Spatiale (IAS) を訪問し、マイクロオメガを使用した、「OSIRIS-REx」ミッションからのベンヌのサンプルに対するさらなる共同研究に関して議論しました。この間、IAS の研究者から MicrOmegaデータの後処理について学び、将来「OSIRIS-REx」の帰還試料を受け取る準備として、MicrOmega の測定方法に関して、改善ができる点について有意義な議論を行いました。また、ISAS の藤本副所長とCNES のヨーロッパおよび国際担当理事である Christophe Venet 氏も参加し、JAXA と CNES の将来の協力の方向性について話し合いました。

As the Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales (CNES) of France and JAXA have agreed to extend the loan period of the infrared spectromicroscope (MicrOmega) this year, we have been continuing the corroborative research using this microscope for Hayabusa 2 return samples. Profs. Usui and Okada, a student supervised by Prof. Okada, and three curators from the ASRG have visited Institut d'Astrophysique Spatiale (IAS) in France between Oct 25 and Nov 1 to discuss further corroborative research on Bennu samples from OSIRIS-REx mission using the MicrOmega. During this time, we have learned the post-processing of the MicrOmega data from researchers from IAS, and we had fruitful discussions with them about potential improvements of measurement methods of the MicrOmega in preparation for receiving the OSIRIS-REx returned samples in the future. ISAS Deputy Director General Prof. Fujimoto and Christophe Venet, Director for European and International Affairs at CNES also joined to have a meeting in which we discussed the future path of JAXA-CNES collaboration.
